Hey friends! The new mason jar series goes live this Friday, 11am EST in my online store. —— Mason jars remind me of looking at and appreciating the beauty in simple moments. With this series, I naturally gravitated to more subtle color and contrast. I think the lighter tones illustrate the quaintness and grace that exist in the quiet moments, which constantly surround us.
Honestly... just tryin’ to get my sh*t together. Aren’t we all? (😄) One day at a time... one task at a time... We are all human! —— I was driving yesterday and got real anxious because everyone just seemed to not know how to drive. I had what felt to be 100 things to finish and was racing from errand to errand. I got so frustrated! I finally screamed, “You are not meeting my expectations!!” I laughed (at the fact I said that out loud) while realizing this stress I am creating; This to do list, yeah, but it sources to the expectations I am having of myself. It doesn’t have to do with the people not driving to my current race car standard. This is my story, and my issue. Stress can also be feeling some expectations people are having of us, too. This is where I like to observe a little deeper. Are people putting pressure on you? Or are you putting and creating all this pressure on yourself? —— It’s great to have goals. It gets muddy when it becomes limiting and forced. We must remain open to how things will unfold. It all boils down to, am I pushing and forcing myself? Just the fact of identifying expectations help slow it down, even if there is a million and half things to do. —— Keep making goals, putting in the time, being present with what’s in front of you... support yourself with celebrations through each thing accomplished. Everything will work out as it is supposed to, and staying open will only bring more peace through it all! Drop those expectations!! I’m working on it myself over here 🙏 Putting this here for a reminder to keep faith in ourselves and others, everything will.work.out
